Catastrophic Insurance Coverage

Health insurance doesn't have to be about a full, comprehensive policy. Sometimes, a policy that covers the possibility of an accident or major surgery is all that we really need. With catastrophic insurance coverage you can get this important coverage without the high premiums sometimes associated with regular health insurance policies.

Catastrophic insurance plans (also called major medical plans) do not cover any expenses related to preventative care, minor wound care, or any kind of health monitoring service. Instead, they cover some of the expenses associated with major, catastrophic illnesses and accidents. If you are sent to emergency room, it is likely that much of that expense will be covered by your catastrophic policy. Other expenses covered include hospital expenses like room, board and incidentals, surgical expenses, and physician expenses.

Like any insurance policy, catastrophic plans have limits and deductibles. You will be required to pay the deductible amount out of pocket, then the insurance company will step in and pay their portion of your expenses, up to the limit.

Because the insurable incidents covered by catastrophic plans are so limited, the premiums tend to be low and widely affordable. As with any policy, choosing a high deductible and low limit further limits the risk of expense to the insurance company and will result in even lower rates-but as with any insurance policy, consumers must make sure that they choose a deductible they can afford and a limit that is reasonable and still offers a relevant benefit.

Catastrophic policies are not for everyone. If you have a chronic illness or injury, a catastrophic policy can step in when a major medical incident occurs, but will not give you the day-to-day and preventative coverage that you may need in order to live a long and healthy life. But if you are unable to secure a regular health insurance policy and don't yet qualify to join the high risk pool for your state, then it may be a helpful alternative.

Prednisone, Pregnancy, Nursing: Decision Time

If you're considering continuing medication during pregnancy or nursing, chances are you need that drug. Chances are that without it, your quality of life will be severely impaired. Whether you need treatment for cancer, autoimmune diseases, asthma, allergies, lupus, colitis, arthritis, Still's disease, Bell's palsy, Chrohn's disease, pemphigus, sarcoidosis, kidney disease, mononucleosis, Epstein-Barr, organ transplant, migraines, or many others, choosing to go off your medication is always going to be a big decision. It doesn't make it any easier that the medical community hasn't reached a consensus on whether pregnant and nursing women should discontinue treatment. The best you can hope for is an informed doctor to assist in your decision-making process. Below, you will find specific information on the issues concerning this corticosteroid drug, pregnancy, and nursing.

Category C

Prednisolone, the active ingredient converted by the liver, is placed in pregnancy category C by the FDA. Pregnancy category C drugs have shown bad effects on fetuses using controlled animal reproduction studies. However, these drugs have not had adequate enough testing with human studies for the FDA to approve of or warn against usage. They note that category C medications may "warrant use" during pregnancy even when the dangers are taken into account.

So where does that leave you? Nowhere really. All that says is, "See if you think it's worth it." So, assuming you know the benefits of continuing medication, let's take a look at the risks.

Pregnancy

While there have not been any large studies on humans involving the FDA or meeting their standards, studies have shown that the risk of birth defects in non-human animal testing is elevated. Specifically, cleft palate may be a danger in human fetuses. This finding comes from four epidemiological studies, and one specific one in California, which showed a significant rise in the defect. However, there have been many similar studies which show no statistically significant results for any specific birth defect. The result is wide open for debate, but it seems as if there is not a danger clear enough to indict the drug, and that speaks volumes. You can see why it is pregnancy class C.

However, a Michigan study of birth defects notes that, using a database of 229,101 pregnancies from 1985 to 1992, the pregnancies in which the mother was exposed to prednisolone in the first trimester shows a "statistically significant increase" in birth defects on the whole. To be in line with the control group, there should have been six cases of birth defects. However, in actuality, there were eleven cases. To complicate matters further, there was no strong association between Prednisone, prednisolone, and any specific defect, such as cleft palate, in this study.

Nursing

Numerous tests have shown that the amount of Prednisone or prednisolone found in breast milk is at most trace. While no testing on human children has occurred, the science says that the amount found in breast milk should not be enough to cause any danger in human children. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, Prednisone is compatible with breast feeding.

How to Achieve Long-Term Weight Loss

Whether you are struggling to lose some baby weight, have a few unwanted pounds, or are among the one in five Americans effected by obesity, you know that long term weight loss is not easily achieved. There are many treatments and methods available on the market today that make weight loss in and of itself very easy, but can you sustain the weight loss over a period of time? Research shows that most weight lost in traditional diet and over the counter methods only leads to loss of water weight, and this means your waist line will not decrease for the long term. If this sounds like you, and you are tired of yo-yo dieting and trying every new diet fad, maybe it's time to step up your game a little bit. Here you will find a host of weight loss treatments that are safe, effective, and WILL mean long term weight loss!

Fighting excess weight with the use of vitamins is a long standing tradition that goes back to the days of Hippocrates. With advances in science and technology, using vitamins at an intensive level is now being used for successful long term weight loss. Vitamins such as B12 are currently being used in oral formulations or pill forms that help you to lose weight effectively. In many cases, shots of vitamins like B12 are offered through advanced weight loss clinics that will monitor your intake and progress for you. B12 shots are now being proven to not only help you achieve your weight loss goals, but also are very beneficial to improving overall health in other areas as well.

Vitamin shots or vitamins by oral form are known to be effective in achieving long term weight loss due to their effect on your metabolism. You will love the calming effects on your nervous system, and will not only find yourself losing weight, but also feel better during the entire process! Specifically vitamin shots will be used to give you more energy, and to help you with your cravings. Some shots are also known to target fat areas directly, and can even burn your fat for you while you sleep.

Injections of amino acids are now being used as well in many weight loss clinics around the world. These are often found in a cocktail known as MIC, for Methione, Inositol, and Choline, and this cocktail has been known to target fat directly. The amino acid MIC shot targets your liver where your fat is metabolised, and will actually remove your fat from your body for you.

Diet pills or pills for appetite suppression are also very effective in helping you achieve your long term weight loss goals. Many people that suffer from excess weight also have issues with serving size and elevated hunger strikes, and appetite suppression pills such as Phentermine will help you deal with this problem very effectively. It is true that the less you eat, the more you will lose and the faster you will lose it, and treatments such as Phentermine help you make smart eating choices throughout your day. There is no one magic pill that will help you achieve your long term weight loss goals, but combining one or more of these very effective treatments will be sure to have a significant impact on your clothing size sooner than later.

Good news on rheumatoid arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis is one of the more depressing diseases. Starting out with low level disability and some discomfort, it slowly grows more severe as time passes. It's the slowness of the decline that makes it so terrible. There's little to choose between one day and the next but, when you look back over the last month, you realize you're another inch down the slope to the joints seizing up. The problem is the slow destruction of the cartilage as the autoimmune system fails to work properly and attacks healthy tissue, generating increasingly severe inflammation. The basic strategy for treatment is to balance physical therapy to maintain some mobility while using different drugs to halt the immune system's misbehavior and control the pain. But there's only a certain amount you can achieve through weight loss programs and physiotherapy. At some point, the joints cannot continue to move as before. The statistics show that, after about ten years, the majority of people will have significant disability despite the success of the DMARDs (disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs).

One of the key indicators of the inevitable decline is called morning stiffness. As the name suggests, lying down for sleep encourages the body to stop moving. During this period of inactivity, the affected joints and surrounding musculature stiffens. When waking, the body must slowly be coaxed back into mobility again. This can be a painful process. The European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) has been running a series of trials on a slightly different approach to current practice. The European strategy has been to use a pick-and-mix approach to the DMARDs, looking for the best results on a trial-and-error basis. This has been justified by the inevitable "truth" that "all patients are different". So, within preset limits, doctors play with different drugs in combination and at different dosages until the best outcome is achieved.

In two trials titled Circadian Administration of Prednisone in Rheumatoid Arthritis (CAPRA), EULAR has been testing a modified-release version of Prednisone. The idea is to take a low dose before going to bed. The tablet is designed not to release the drug until about four hours into sleep with the peak concentration being achieved about two hours later. So,someone going to bed at 10 p.m. will get the maximum effect of the drug at about 4 a.m. which is judged the ideal time if pain and stiffness on waking is to be reduced. The results from the second trial have just been released and confirm the success of the modified-release system. The drug was administered over a twelve week period, with a major short-term improvement in mobility on waking. But what is really significant is the continuing improvement in mobility when participants were allowed to continue taking Prednisone for up to twelve months after the end of the formal trial. It seems clear that the use of this drug alongside the optimized cocktail of DMARDs produces the best overall outcome with morning stiffness reduced and general mobility improved during the day. Given there is no immediate prospect of any drug coming on to the market as a cure for Rheumatoid Arthritis, these trials old out hope for those who currently struggle with pain in the mornings.

Xanax and overcoming the fear of public speaking

Social anxiety comes in many different forms with a wide range of different trigger situations which provoke the anxiety or panic attack. But one of the more common problems is the need to speak in public. Whether in the office or some other place where "others" will listen to you speak, this provokes anything from slight nervousness to paralyzing fear. Some will experience insomnia in the build-up to the "big day", others will physically shake, their brow will break out into sweat, and their voices will tremble. It's a sad sight to behold. Although medication can and does help, it's far better to try overcoming the problem yourself. Let's start with the obvious. Never refuse the chance to do it. The more you give into the temptation to avoid speaking, the worse your fear is going to get. This is something you have to face and overcome. That said, you don't have to book the largest local venue and invite hundreds to listen to you. This is something you solve with slow and deliberate steps, aiming to plant the first seeds of confidence and then encourage them into life.

Whatever it is you are to speak on, you have to know and understand the content. People tend to go off topic when they are uncertain of which points are genuinely important. The more you reduce the chances for error, the better your performance is likely to be. So get organized. Plan exactly what you want to say. If you are proposing to use Powerpoint or something similar, get the slides prepared early and practice with them. The more you rehearse, the less nervous you will be. Yes, it's a bit of a clich?. But practicing the whole really does make the delivery perfect. But don't just stand in front of a mirror in your bedroom. Get some friends to come and listen. Trust them to offer constructive comments. Learn from their reactions. If you have to stand without the benefit of anything convenient on which to put notes, there's nothing wrong with holding a set of cards in one hand. Even top professional do it to ensure they don't miss out anything important.

Now comes the biggest challenge. No matter how well you know your material. No matter how well rehearsed you are. You will never do well unless you relax. It's at this point people are tempted to reach for the Xanax. You must resist. There are some simple deep breathing exercises to clear your head and relax tension in the muscles. Some benefit from visualization exercises where they mentally walk through the presentation, staying calm and emerging successful. If you trust in yourself and are prepared to recognize when you have been successful, there's no reason why you should not overcome your fears without having to rely on Xanax. There are nonprofit groups in most cities to help you. Doctors can refer you to counselors. Remember, nervousness is natural. With just a little courage and a positive attitude, you can become a good public speaker.

Buy Ambien but first get a diagnosis of your sleep disorder

Thanks to the internet and the growth of the online pharmacies, it's just so easy to buy your drugs. All it takes is a few clicks and before you can say Jiminy Cricket, Cowabunga, or whatever leaps into your mind when you're looking for just the right thing to shout when you want to make a point, the padded envelope is on its way to you. But there's a trap in the speed of this transaction. You've been watching all those TV ads. You're sold on the idea of this drug as the bestest treatment for whatever ails you. No more lurking in the doctor's waiting room or those shakes of the head when the know-it-all doesn't think that drug is quite what you need. Those drugs are on their way to you before you have the chance for second thoughts. So what's the problem? Ah, insomnia. Finding it hard to get too sleep. Waking up too early. Feeling tired all the time. Well, let's take one step back. There's a possible cause and effect here. Fewer hours asleep and you feel tired. Except, the feeling of tiredness is not necessarily insomnia. Huh? Everyone tends to lump everything together. You feel tired when you wake up so you must have insomnia. Hmmm. . .

So just why are you finding it hard to sleep through the night? You're not in pain, are you? Sometimes a physical problem like arthritis can generate just enough pain to disturb you. Or perhaps you have restless leg syndrome. This is a problem linked to high blood pressure, the risk of a stroke and some brain disorders like Parkinson's disease. Some people find they cannot lie still. And then there's sleep apnea where you stop breathing and have to wake up to start again. There are a long list of possible reasons why you might be feeling tired. So before you launch off on your own self-medication path and buy Ambien online, get some specialist advice. This probably means getting past your primary caregiver if you're in a network. You should really go see a sleep specialist. There are centers all over the country that wire you up to a whole batch of machines to monitor this and that, and keep a video record of how much you move around. When the results come in you may find you grind your teeth and the noise wakes you up, so dentistry is the cure.

Although medical science is not as certain as doctors would have you believe (they still have to make their best guess some of the time), they stand a better chance of being right than you. This takes nothing away from Ambien. It does what it says, i.e, knocks you out for seven to eight hours. But it's not a treatment for any underlying physical cause for you feeling tired every morning. So rather than take the easy line, be prepared to claim on your health insurance policy or spend some money to find out for sure what's wrong. It's possible Ambien might be the right answer in the short term, but get expert confirmation first. The worst thing you could do is take a powerful drug to knock you out only to discover you are lining up for a stroke or you have sleep apnea and just don't wake up then next time you stop breathing.

Celebrity endorsements

Celebrity is one of these strange cultural things. People become famous, often for no particularly important reason except their ability to sing or play a sport well. It's always been around. In ancient times, top warriors and "entertainers" would rule the cultural roost. Today, we seem less impressed by real soldiers, preferring the Hollywood version. Anyway, for better or worse, these people are able to use their fame to influence their fans - that's one step away from fanatics whose intense enthusiasm leads them to dress and act in the same way. It becomes a kind of fame by association when you suddenly see people walking around wearing the latest styles shown on the pages of the influential magazines. Most of the time, this is fairly harmless. Manufacturers and distributors pay celebrities to endorse their products. The fans buy the products. If the products are good, everyone is happy. Sometimes the products are less than good and the celebrity's name gets dragged through the mud. Although not quite on the same point, Paris Hilton is being sued again. This time, a hair extension company paid Hilton to wear its product but, remarkably, she turned up on red carpets wearing a competitor's product. How sad for all involved given the names of the two competing products have now been trumpeted all over the news media for the last few weeks.

The most recent example is Justin Bieber. He's the latest baby-faced, teen sensation to step out of YouTube. And, wherever you look, you see pictures of him. What great skin! But, like all sixteen year olds, he's prone to the odd outburst of acne. So, moving with the cultural tide, one of the leading benzoyl peroxide products has recruited him as the new face of their anti-acne lotion. He follows in the tradition of Jessica Simpson, Alicia Keys, Katy Perry and others prepared to speak out in favor of this antibacterial. The marketing theory is solid like a rock. The target market buy his music and swoon over his picture. They will also want skin as smooth as his. They will buy this product. And, for the mild cases of acne, this will work out well. Benzoyl peroxide is a tried-and-tested way of dealing with skin problems. The addition of a moisturizer also leaves the skin feeling good.

But don't get too carried away by endorsement. Justin Bieber may be the best new kid on the block, but the product will not deal with the more severe cases of acne. Indeed, if you use it for too long, moisturizers or not, it can cause the skin to dry and peel. For the really dramatic outbreaks that will not respond to any of the other treatments you need Accutane. Like benzoyl peroxide, there are side effects if you don't follow the rules. But when you step up to the more powerful medications, you always take a risk to get the results. So, remember the name Accutane. It may not have the endorsement of Justin Bieber, but we think he would use it if he did get severe acne.

Accutane and Justin Bieber - spot the difference

Aciphex and GERD relief diet

Many  doctors recommend relieving GERD symptoms by adjusting the diet. However,  before you start doing so, you should understand what GERD is in the first  place. If put simple, GERD is a conditions caused by the irritation of  esophagus. The esophagus is a tube that connects your throat with the stomach  and carries food after it has been chewed and swallowed. This tube ends with a  small sphincter that connects it with the stomach and doesn't allow the food to  get back into the esophagus after it has entered the stomach. When this  sphincter is weak or there are other causes for its malfunctioning, the  contents of the stomach can reflux up into esophagus and damage its sensitive  tissue (due to potent acids from the stomach). This is when the symptoms of  GERD occur.

When  speaking about a diet for relieving GERD symptoms, you have to keep in mind  that in most cases it's a muscular problem. It's the malfunctioning of the  sphincter in the esophagus that causes the problem. However, if you adopt a  special regimen you may reduce the severity of symptoms in addition to the use of  special medications. Here are some things you should consider:

Meal timing

As most of  you may know, GERD symptoms are usually very intense in the night time. So when  speaking about a diet for GERD, it's not the type of food that matters but  rather the actual time you're eating it. If you are bothered by heartburn, acid  reflux and other symptoms of GERD it's quite likely because you're eating too  close to bedtime.

Japanese  researchers have conducted a study that revealed the increase of GERD risk with  the reduction of time between food intake and sleep. There was a direct  relation found between the symptoms of GERD and
how much  time passes between dinner and bedtime.

The study  involved 147 patients with GERD symptoms and 294 volunteers who didn't have any  problems for reference. matched "control" patients who had not  experienced GERD symptoms during the previous year. Each participant had to  fill out a questionnaire determining the usual time between their dinner and  sleep.

It was  observed that people who went to bed within three hours after eating their  dinner were 7.5 times more likely to experience GERD symptoms such as heartburn  than people who had a larger period of time between these activities.

Therefore  it is highly recommended to eat at least four hours before going to bed if you  do not want to enjoy medication treatment with drugs like Aciphex. Moreover, it  is recommended to keep the evening meals small in order to reduce the amount of  food processed by the stomach during this time of the day. If you tend to eat  large meals in the evening this puts more pressure on the stomach and the  sphincter connecting it with the esophagus. By eating less, you will ease the  pressure and avoid having GERD symptoms.

Moreover,  there are specific foods that are believed to cause GERD symptoms:

  • chocolate
  • creamed  foods
  • fast  foods
  • fatty  foods
  • milk
  • oils
  • peppermint
  • caffeine  drinks

Try  avoiding these foods in the evening and it may turn out that you won't need  Aciphex or other special drugs for GERD at all.

Banishing Top 3 Male Impotence Myths

The founder of all things medical, the great philosopher Hippocrates, stated that "There are in fact two things, science, and opinion; the former begets knowledge, the latter ignorance."  This notion is still true today, even in our much more advanced medical systems.  For every medical disorder or problem there always erupts a mountain of myths surrounding it, that makes getting treatment so much more difficult.  Why? Because myths are easy to believe, particularly if you have a medical problem as potentially embarrassing as male impotence.  In this article, we will banish the top three myths on male impotence, and get you closer to getting the treatment you need for one of the most common male medical problems out there.

Myth 1:  A "Real Man" Would Never Experience Male Impotence

This myth could not be further from the truth!  The fact is, male impotence is more common than you think.  Almost EVERY man over the age of thirty will experience male impotence or erectile dysfunction at least once during their adult years.  Research has shown us that statistically speaking, there are over one hundred million men in the world experiencing male impotence.  Research also suggests that these numbers are probably even higher than they look, because only two out of every ten men suffering will seek treatment.

There is no such thing as a notion that "real men aren't impotent", in fact every man is at least once.  So if you have been putting off treatment, even something as easy as Cialis, rest assured that you are not alone, and this is one of the most common problems in the world.  If you have been wondering whether or not you are suffering from impotence, male impotence is defined as the inability to maintain or produce an erection in order to experience sexual intercourse.  Impotence has nothing to do with manliness or loss of your manhood, loss of libido, or even the inability to orgasm or ejaculate.

Myth 2:  It's All In Your Head

Male impotence is an emotional experience, and so it is very easy to convince yourself that you are going crazy or that something is "wrong" with you.  In fact, fewer than twenty percent of all cases of male impotence have anything to do with psychology whatsoever, which is what makes treatment so easy.  In most cases of male impotence, there are underlying physical factors such as diabetes, heart problems, prostate concerns, blood pressure symptoms, and the like.  If male impotence remains untreated, then you may find some of those secondary symptoms that makes it feel like this is purely a psychological issue.  You will feel stressed, anxious, experience low self esteem, and may even feel depressed.  But these feelings are a side effect of your male impotence, not the cause.  Getting treatment with proven methods such as Cialis will regulate all of these issues sooner than you think.

Myth 3: Male Impotence is Incurable

This is another myth that could not be more wrong.  We have already established that most bases of male impotence are medical, and this makes treatment every easy.  There is no permanent cure for male impotence, but a variety of very effective treatments such as Cialis are available and  have revolutionized therapy for male impotence.

Employer insistence on weight loss

One of the big questions of the day is how you would react if your boss told you to lose weight. Why might this happen? There are two obvious reasons. The first is performance. The bigger you are, the more physically difficult it is to do some work. There may also be issues over appearance. Not everyone fits into a uniform and looks good. Since many customers tend to judge the employer by the way the staff are presented, there's pressure on employers to police the way you look. The second reason is pressure coming from the health insurance industry. It's a statistical fact that the overweight are more likely to claim on health plans for longer term illnesses. This is forcing up premiums to employers but, to "help" those in financial difficulty, insurers are offering discounts if employers run wellness programs to incentivize their employees to lose weight. Allowing for many states allowing termination at-will, there are no real laws at a federal or state level to prevent discrimination on body weight. Unlike an injury leaving you partly paralyzed, the lawmakers say how much you weigh is a lifestyle decision and not a disability.

This is not a problem restricted to the US. In England, they are fanatical about soccer. Benni McCarthy who should play for West Ham is overweight and has been told to lose about 12 pounds. The club will fine him about $60,000 out of his pay for every week he fails to lose 2 pounds. The club sees him through training, controls what he eats while at "work", and then waves goodbye to him in the evening. If he's not losing weight, it's because of what he does out of sight. If we go over to Turkey, the state-run Turkish Airlines has suspended 28 flight attendants for being overweight. If these attendants, 15 of whom are men, do not get down to their target weights, they will be given work in the back office. In the meantime, they have no pay which will restrict the amount they can afford to eat and speed their weight loss.

So, coming back home, would you quit if your boss told you to lose weight? How much is your job worth to you? The Turkish flight attendants have been told to lose 10% of their body weight. They are finding it difficult to move easily up and down the aisles of the planes. By a strange coincidence, the clinical trials show participants losing an average of 10% of their body weight when using Acomplia. Would you diet and use an appetite suppressant to meet your boss's expectations, or would you think this an interference with your private life and fight for your rights? Except, of course, your rights under the anti-discrimination laws are very limited. Even in a state which some protections against unreasonable termination, you may struggle to hold on to your job. So, it all comes back to a diet and Acomplia or giving up your paid work. Life can be really unfair.

Treatment of bacterial infections

We all know that there are different kinds of bacteria that lead to infectious diseases. Still, this simple assumption is just not enough to prevent and overcome bacterial infections. Quite often bacterial infections do not require any medical measures. Mild problems are usually eliminated with the use of domestic solutions, which are quite different from country to country. Still, if the symptoms of bacterial infection last despite your treatment attempts, it is definitely time to visit your doctor and get a serious medical treatment.

If the infection turns out to be really serious, you may be prescribed with antibiotic treatment. There's nothing to fear about bacterial infections, however it's always much better to keep them at bay and try to prevent the in the first place.

The symptoms you will experience with a bacterial infection will strongly depend on the actual type of infection you have. It also depends on the actual area of infection. Even the mildest form of infection will give you disturbances in the area where it takes place, and you will know that something isn't right.

One of the most common types of bacterial infections, especially with people who are dwelling in areas with polluted air. Pneumonia is widely spread in people with weak immune system, such as children or seniors. Sinusitis and pharyngitis are also quite common forms of bacterial diseases. Colored nasal discharge and headaches are the most widespread symptoms of such infections.

When there's a case of infection in the digestive tract, the symptoms experienced by the patient are often of the digestive nature. The most common symptoms experienced with bacterial infections of the gastrointestinal tract include vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, dehydration and stomach pain. Sometimes bacterial infections may lead to different forms of ulcer, so make sure to control the development of the disease.

Bacterial infections in the vagina are often characterized by an unpleasant smell coming from the area. Typically, female vagina is home for certain types of beneficial bacteria. Still, when the production and activity of these bacteria are affected by external factors or become irregular, this may lead to bacterial diseases. Infections in the vagina and the urinary tract should be addressed as soon as possible, because they may lead to inflammation of other organs as well. The most common treatment for such infections is antibiotic medications such as Doxycycline.

Meningitis is a serious health problem that is caused by bacterial activity in the spinal chord and the brain. Small children are more prone to this disease however adults can suffer from it too. The most common signs of such a problem include headache, irritability, stiffness in head, neck and body, skin rashes and lethargy. This is a very serious health problem and if you observe any signs of meningitis, you should seek medical attention immediately.

The most critical consequence of a bacterial infection is sepsis, which can lead to death. With this condition the patient experiences fever, seizures, and joint pain. When these signs are present you should seek emergency attention immediately, or the consequences may be fatal. Do not try to use any antibiotics like Doxycycline on your own in situations like these, because the patient will need professional medical help and monitoring.

Fitness Health Clubs

One thing Americans seem to forget about the fitness health clubs we are members of or we are considering to join is that they are businesses as just like any others: they have to make a profit from you. I'm not writing this article to dismiss fitness health clubs; in fact, I'm encouraging you to get into one if you are stuck in a weight loss rut. All I'm trying to ensure you understand is that weight loss does not have to cost you so much in terms of money.

Losing weight drastically using any other means is dangerous. Like crack addicts you will suffer from withdrawal symptoms and you will be more likely to jump right back into bad eating habits and regain the weight. In an effort to get away from the "I want it here and now" American attitude, these fitness health clubs have ensured that its members have reached their weight loss or gain goals safely over a long period of time, rather than use the shortcuts. So, don't expect to join one of these fitness health clubs and lose weight immediately. Don't look at the glossy advertisements that the fitness health clubs have or the equipments that they have. Look at the services they offer. If they offer the basic services and have decent equipment, you have more than enough to ensure you have lost the weight.

First of all make sure the fitness health club is in a location that you can access easily. Traveling to a far gym may demoralize you in the end. From the beginning of your exercise routine, you only need fifteen minutes to half an hour of exercises daily to meet your long term weight loss goals. Upon joining the club you can sign an annual membership contract or a monthly contract. I advise that you think of the latter more than the former since you might want to quit before the end of the year. There are some packages that you might be attracted to before you start your membership, I advise that you settle in first and figure out if you need them before you go for them.

Fitness health clubs should have qualified instructors who will make sure you get the best service. More than three quarters of your weight loss effort will come from you and not the gym instructor. If you try and incorporate some of these exercise routines in your daily schedules so that you don't have to make the trip to the gym every single day, you will save time and lots of money. Invest in some few weights or a skip rope and make sure you do some exercises at home. Once you have a diet plan, you can follow up with the dietician in your gym once a week. If she has an email, the better; you can call her up and ask for further instruction. There is so much the fitness health clubs can do for you in your effort to lose weight and you don't need to break your finances in order to do that.
